My name is Grahame Boath,
I live in Fife, Scotland and my main passion in life is the natural world. I love everything from the bugs and the beasties to the birds and mammals.
I volunteer with the Scottish Wildlife Trust, where i assist with the management of Cullaloe Local Nature Reserve. I also assist with surveying for Butterfly Conservation and the British Trust for Ornithology.
I have a HNC in Countryside Management, and I am constantly learning new things about the wonderful world around me.
My paid job involves working for Sky TV, providing support for broadband and phone services. It’s not the most exciting job in the world, but it pays the bills. At sky I also serve as an environmental champion, where I encourage colleagues to adopt sustainable practices and to volunteer… To actually get out there and see what it’s all about for themselves!

Thank you for a really intersting night.I learned so much about what’s all around us! I would like to get more involved though, so if you are needing a help with anything then please let me know.
A GRATEFUL WEEGIE
I’m glad you enjoyed yourself, Rab. You can be sure that I’ll let you know if anything comes up which you can get involved with. We’re normally quite keen on getting volunteers helping out, so I’m sure we’ll be able to come up with something.
Hi Grahame
Nice meeting you on Fri/Sat. I really enjoyed my first moth night. I’ve only really seen the day flying moths so it was great to see so many new species !
Thanks
Barry
Hi Barry,
It was nice to meet you, too! A slight shame you didn’t get to see a Fox Moth, though – but at least now you know where I wastrying to show you the photo from!
I managed to get a few photos of the Small Elephant Hawkmoth when it was being released. Here is a link to one-

Nice photos, Barry! Took a look through your photostream, and there’s some pretty stunning pics in there.
